Every painting I create begins with one word..

🦁 Resilience

Before I apply the first layers of oil paint, I write the word Resilience into the underpainting. Sometimes I leave it visible for a while. Other times it disappears beneath the layers of paint as the artwork comes to life.

Most people will never see it.

But I know it’s there.

It’s my reminder to trust the process, embrace the challenge

and never give up.
